Formal Assessments

Two formal assessments are offered for measuring perceptions of teachers and administrators regarding actions related to PLC continual development and district support. These assessments assist in identifying staff perceptions and day-to-day actions more accurately representing phases of PLC development.

The first assessment, Professional Learning Community Assessment-Revised (PLCA-R), measures everyday classroom and school practices in relation to each of the five PLC dimensions.

The second measure, Professional Learning Community Assessment –District Support (PLCA-DS)  assesses perceptions about school district support for the development and implementation of PLCs in schools.
